E-commerce and Social Media Photographer (Felixstowe)

Context:

Felixstowe Online Shop is a hive of activity selling items online that have been donated to Oxfam through its network of 650 shops in the UK. This helps to raise millions of pounds each year to fund Oxfam's vital work.  Our online volunteers contribute by giving time to help Oxfam raise much needed funds for its UK and Global projects. Our social media engagement is an opportunity for our team to raise awareness of Oxfam's projects.

Ideally, you will be able to volunteer a minimum of 3 hours a week or 12 hours per month split between various shifts.


Key responsibilities:

  • Creating a visual library of photographs covering clothing and accessories, across women's/men's wear and books product categories.
  • Making use of the photography studio, lighting equipment and display aids, to create a visual image library of clothing.
  • Using Microsoft picture editor programme to edit, re-touch and enhance images to become more commercially appealing to the customer.
  • Engaging with the local community to share the voluntary opportunities within this busy Online Shop.
  • Sharing information from the business community and the local environment through networking.

Skills and competencies:

  • Internet and Email Literacy.
  • Constructively critical eye for photography on Oxfam Online shop.
  • A basic understanding of Ecommerce standards e.g. having shopped online before or having had the experience of listing something for sale online.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
