Online Bridal Specialist (Milton Keynes)


Milton Point Hub is the Southern Flagship operation for Oxfam Online Shop. We receive a high volume of quality donated stock daily. Our team work together to identify desirable items, create listings in order to offer them for sale online to a worldwide audience. The role of Bridal Wear Specialist will focus on contemporary and Vintage Bridal wear product and accessories, to accurately valuate, photograph and list these items on Oxfam's Dedicated Online Bridal Pages.   

Please note we offer a number of flexible roles covering sorting, hanging, photography, listing and customer care which can be built around your experience and what you want to achieve out of volunteering with Oxfam.

Being an online setting, we can offer flexible hours, but would ask a minimum 4 hour commitment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Select desirable and commercial Bridal wear to be offered for sale online.
  • Using simple photography skills to visually showcase the item to the customer.
  • Using fashion and clothing knowledge to create accurate and appealing written content on our web based listing tool.
  • Carry out research in order to accurately value items.

Skills and competencies:

  • An interest in clothing and fashion, with a focus on Bridal wear desirable.
  • Attention to detail
  • Competent with use of computers and the internet
  • Basic photography skills,
  • Technical garment experience would be highly desirable but not essential,
  • Desire to learn or develop new skills in the field of online sales,
  • Enjoys working in a positive and social environment for a good cause.

  • Develop product knowledge of Bridal Wear & Clothing.
  • We also gain an interesting insight into the ways in which a broad range of donated stock is recycled. Gain an insight into how Oxfam re-sells, re-uses, re-cycles donated textiles.
  • Training, support and guidance from a dedicated and experienced online team.
