Online Photographer (Milton Keynes)


Milton Point Hub is the Southern Flagship operation for Oxfam Online Shop and receive a high volume of quality donated stock daily. Our team work together to identify desirable items and create listings in order to offer them for sale online to a worldwide audience. This role would be responsible for creating a photographic product library for the team to digitally display and list these items to offer them to a worldwide customer base on Oxfam Online.

Please note we offer a number of flexible roles covering sorting, hanging, photography, listing and customer care which can be built around your experience and what you want to achieve out of volunteering with Oxfam.

Being an online setting, we can offer flexible hours, but would ask a minimum of 4 hours and upwards.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for photographing clothes and accessories to sell on Oxfam's online shop.
  • Creating a visual library of photographs covering clothing/accessories and home wares.
  • Making use of the 5 purpose built photography studios, lighting equipment and display aids, to create a visual image library of clothing and accessories.
  • You are able to use of photo editing programmes to edit, re-touch and enhance images to become as commercially appealing to the end customer.

Skills and competencies:

  • Interest in photography.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Reliability and some flexibility on what type of product to be photographed- can be discussed.
  • You will mainly be responsible to plan your day, so you will need to have good organisational skills and be self motivated to work unsupervised.
