A fresh spiral of eclectic rock... Keltrix are an energetic five-piece band, famed for pumping the audience into a frenzy, Keltrix are led by Keri, an eccentric yet enigmatic singer songwriter, defying the model of folk rock through an unsullied and cool blend of harmonious explosion. Keltrix have graced stages in England, Scotland and Wales to much acclaim and are incredibly active on the festival circuit appearing at such events as, Secret Garden Party, Small World, Sunrise, Knockengorroch and Strawberry Fair and proudly supported acts including Mark Chadwick (Levellers), Shooglenifty, Inner Terrestrials and Tarantism. This busy schedule has seen the band go from strength to strength firmly establishing themselves on the local circuit in Cambridgeshire before reaching out further afield. The odd change of line up here and there aside; the focus of Keltrix has always remained the same… Say it with a song!

Riotous Femme Punk Rockahula! Beverley Kills (band) Formed in the summer of 2008, Beverley Kills launched its all-girl punk-rock attack just three months after the first jam, and has been gaining momentum ever since. They have played shows with some great bands, including The Slits (who dubbed BK 'best support of the tour') and Varsity Drag (Ben Deily Lemonheads' current project). There's been BBC and various other radio play and the band's first EP, 'No Cash Value' was released in the summer of 2010. As for the music, there are biting lyrics, goose-bump inducing harmonies and 'riffs to knock houses down', with the occasional punked up cover thrown in for good measure!

The Good News is an “impossibly youthful, compelling new band…” –The Independent ‘jingly-jangly off-kilter pop’ - Rhythm Section FM. A combination of their belief in the pop song-craft of The Beatles and Motown with a love for the sly humor of Randy Newman and Talking Heads; the resulting package is eclectic and high-energy. Having held two sold-out launch parties for self-released EPs this year (“the first time The Macbeth has sold out since Gang of Four played” –The Macbeth), they are currently working on their debut single for ifm records along with preparing for the second leg of a UK tour.

Description
alex iamb is a stand-up poet, compere and Cambridge Area Co-Ordinator for Hammer & Tongue. He was born to kind, loving parents who have supported him unswervingly and without question in his every endeavour. He has consistently thrown this loyalty back in their faces by refusing to endeavour. At anything. Ever. Until now. A little while back some fool told alex he should stand up in front of a room full of people and have his already substantial ego massaged a little harder than usual. Oh dear. Since then he has been enthusiastically harrassing innocent members of the public at gigs and festivals all over the country, leaving literally tens of people slightly unsettled and a bit bemused. He has shared stages with such literary luminaries as Byron Vincent, Tim Clare, Kate Tempest, Attila The Stockbroker, Yanny Mac, Rhian Edwards and Salena Godden among others. God help them. It's all their own fault.

Taking the ramshackle charm of Guided By Voices at their most melodic and adding a boyish enthusiasm that tips its hat to both Weezer and Matthew Sweet.

The only thing more exciting than putting on your own event to help fight poverty is knowing that you’re part of a movement of thousands of gigs, club nights and events right across the country.James from Klaxons
