Every year Oxfam puts on Trailtrekker - a non-stop 40, 65 or 100km trek in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which teams of four must complete in less than 30 hours. The event attracts over a thousand participants from the UK and overseas, and you can be a part of it by signing up to volunteer with us.
Staging Trailtrekker would not be possible without Oxfam volunteers, who keep walkers going with cheers, cups of tea and information about the route, and help with registration and the medal ceremony at the finish line.
We also need specialist volunteers to provide massage and advice to the participants, and photographers, videographers and bloggers. If any of those areas interest you, we'd love to hear from you!
Do something amazing today and donate your time to Oxfam. Each shift you work is the equivalent of giving £80 to our life changing work around the world, so you'll be lifting lives abroad at the same time as helping our intrepid walkers!
A massive thank you!
We want to say thank you to all our 2014 Trailtrekker volunteers. Please know that your time and effort was appreciated - as one walker said:
"A MASSIVE thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who gave up their time for free to support people like me as we hobbled our way around the course. The final water stop was especially wonderful. As I rested on a chair volunteers swarmed around me, fetching me water, helping me take off my warm night layers and even lending my brother a hat for the final 10k because he was getting sunburnt. It wouldn't have been nearly as fun or possible without the volunteers. Thank you all!"
