Human Resources Intern (Pinner)


Volunteers are an integral part of Oxfam. We have fantastic people who volunteer in our online shop, and we always need more.

The online bookshop is an important part of Oxfam's fundraising and we need volunteers to make sales efficient. Your role will be to coordinate our volunteers' rota and to make sure that volunteer skills are efficiently used. Your role involve keeping contact with local community groups, schools, etc. recruiting volunteers, the success of your internship being measured by the upkeep of our volunteer rota.

Frequency: 24 hours a week. We ask for a minimum commitment of 3 months.

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing volunteers induction paperwork
  • Assisting in training new volunteers
  • Managing volunteers' rotas and expenses
  • Responsability for our petty cash account

Skills and competencies:

  • An enthusiasm for Oxfam's work and for helping others get involved is important
  • PC literacy and keyboard skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload
  • Be able to work on your own initiative
