Online sales creator (Batley)

Context:

Batley Online Hub is the Northern Flagship operation for Oxfam Online Shop. We are connected to Oxfam's national recycling centre and receive a high volume of quality donated stock daily. Our team work together to identify desirable items, create beautiful listings in order to offer them for sale to a worldwide audience.

As an online office setting, we can offer flexible hours, but would ask a commitment of 1 day a week.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify desirable and commercial  items of clothing to be offered for sale online
  • Using simple photography skills to visually showcase the item to the customer
  • Using fashion and clothing knowledge to create accurate and appealing written content on our web based listing tool
  • Adhere to set standards and exceed in giving excellent customer service within an e-commerce setting

Skills and competencies:

  • An interest in clothing and fashion
  • Attention to detail
  • Competent with use of computers and the internet, some experience of basic photo editing is desirable but not essential.
  • Basic photography skills
  • Technical garment experience would be highly desirable but not essential
  • Desire to learn or develop new skills in the field of online sales
  • Enjoys working in a positive and social environment for a good cause
