Epsom Shop is a fast growing general shop. This means we sell everything from used clothing to homewares. We have a lively and diverse team of volunteers who seek to give their best in ensuring all goods sold from this shop are of the highest possible standard.
We need a driver/collector to join our team. We have a book bank at the local Sainsbury's and need someone to empty it for us once every month or fortnight. We also do occasional pick ups from local houses for elderly or disabled donors.
The work takes about two hours a week but possibly more if the volunteer is keen to expand the role.
Emptying the local book bank once every two weeks and returning the books to our shop in Epsom.
Collecting donations from local houses and possibly visiting other Oxfam shops.
Skills and competencies:
You will need a full' clean driving licence, a courteous manner and the ability to carry out your role on your own or as part of a team.

(There is usually no extra charge for this but your insurance company must be informed).
What this role can offer the volunteer:
- The opportunity to contribute to Oxfam's goal of overcoming poverty and suffering.
- Training will be given.
- An enjoyable working environment.
- Lunch, travel expenses and mileage allowance can be paid in line with Oxfam's policy.
