Shop supervisor - Sunday (Goodramgate, York)

Context:

The Oxfam Shop in Goodramgate, York is a busy and successful outlet.  In order to maximize its takings, it is open seven days a week.  To make this possible we wish to appoint a volunteer to supervise the shop on Sundays, in the Shop Manager's absence.

Key responsibilities:

Opening and locking up the shop.

Supervising a small team of volunteers.

Counting cash, completing the financial paperwork for the day, managing refunds.

Assisting customers with enquiries receive and put away donations, ensure shop properly stocked.

Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are met.

Skills and competencies:

Some supervisory/management experience.

The ability to communicate well with a diverse team.

Some previous retail/customer service experience.
