The shop receives many donations of second-hand clothing, much of which is in excellent, re-useable condition. we are looking for someone with an interest in clothes who can help to sort, price and display the clothes in order to maximise sales in aid of Oxfam. this is a great opportunity for someone who has a flair for fashion and wants to try out ideas. Alternatively it might appeal to someone who can spot the potential in the donations we receive.
Ideally you will be able to offer at least four hours per week although hours can be flexible.
Maintaining the clothing section within the sales area of the shop, creating attractive displays which encourage sales.
Sorting through clothing donations to identify good quality, saleable items.
Pricing clothing according to shop standards.
Although the main area of responsibility is in the clothing and fashion area, you may be able to work on the till occasionally.
Skills and competencies:
A keenness to contribute to supporting Oxfam's humanitarian work by raising as much money as possible.
An interest in clothes and possibly a knowledge of fashion and current trends.
An ability to work well with others and to relate well with customers.
A desire to develop skills (guidance will be given).
