This is a general post which will give you the opportunity to experience a wide range of shop responsibilities: working in the busy Tavistock shop, using th etil, serving customers, merchandising and many other responsibilities.
Hours can be flexible but ideally you should be able to offer at least one 4-hour shift per week.
Serving customers on the till accurately and in a friendly manner
Tidying/re-stocking/merchandising the shop as required
Accepting donated items
Answering queries about Oxfam and products offered for sale
Skills and competencies:
- Ability to work with others and as part of a diverse team.
- Confident with basic cash-handling and customer service.
- Ability to commit to covering a regular shift.
- Ability to work independently when trained.
- Friendly and helpful
