Music sales (Cambridge)


The role is based in the Oxfam Bookshop in Cambridge.  We need help to make the most of our donated music items.

Hours can be flexible between 09.30-17.30 daily, including weekends. Ideally you will be able to offer between 4-8 hours a week.

Key responsibilities:

Sorting and pricing CDs, Vinyl and Sheet Music to maximise the shop sales

Identifying collectable items

Pricing and displaying items in line with shop policy

Helping to organise music storage

Training in online listing/selling (potentially).

Skills and competencies:

Good knowledge of music/sheet music with some specialist knowledge ideally

Able to recognise rare and valuable items

Able to use websites for research

An interest in learning online sales

Able to work in a diverse team

Ability to see your  volunteer skills translate into money raised for Oxfam

Good understanding of basic retail principles

Training and support

Travel expenses will be reimbursed so you will not be out of pocket whilst volunteering for Oxfam
