Boutique sales assistant (Cardiff)


Oxfam Boutique in Cardiff was recently voted Wales's best charity shop in an online poll and we want to recruit staff who will help to maintain that reputation.  We stock good quality men's, women's and children's clothing and accessories including a mixture of high-end designer, high-street and vintage products.

This role will involve all aspects of the high street retail experience.  Our current team are responsible for processing transactions at the till and dealing with customers.

Ideally you will be able to offer at least one 4-hour shift per week. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing transactions at the till
  • Signing up donors to Oxfam's Gift Aid scheme
  • Tidying and merchandising the shop floor
  • Helping to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the shop
  • General housekeeping

Skills and competencies:

  • An interest in fashion, vintage clothes and designer labels will help
  • No previous experience necessary but you will need a desire to learn
  • Trustworthy and reliable as the role will involve handling cash.
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • A helpful and friendly manner

Full training will be given.

Your expenses will be reimbursed so you will not be out of pocket whilst working for Oxfam.
