The role of an Oxfam Shop Treasurer is to make sure that the financial accounts are completed, collated and submitted on a weekly basis. This is a really interesting role, especially for someone who has had previous experience of accounts or someone who wants to gain experience in accounts.
The role has a high level of responsibility therefore we need someone who is both responsible and trustworthy to take on this weekly task.
You should be able to offer 3 hours per week.
Weekly completion of shop financial paperwork.
Assisting the shop team with their financial paperwork.
Reporting on any financial discrepancies.
Ensuring financial paperwork is submitted weekly.
Skills and competencies:
Book-keeping or some financial experience ideally but this is not essential.
Attention to detail.
Some computer skills (Excel and email).
