Leeds Festival

What to expect

"Leeds is a music festival, with the big headliners and loud music."

Eleanor Mottram, Leeds Volunteer Steward

Leeds festival is known as Reading festival's little brother, but over the years it's grown into so much more than that. With an approximate capacity of 60,000 it is slightly smaller than it’s big bro but the site makes up for that, help in a great country park with it's own manor.

Oxfam have been stewarding at Leeds since 2002. Leeds is a music festival, with the big headliners and loud music. There's the comedy tent if you fancy a giggle and even a funfair. The audience is mainly young people aged 16 - 25 but that doesn't stop music fans of all ages coming out to enjoy the variety of music Leeds has to offer.

So if you love music, love an atmosphere, love the buzz, love the challenge of stewarding then Leeds is probably your party.

- Eleanor Mottram, Oxfam volunteer steward
