Trailtrekker 2012 : Full Support Package

Full Support Package (FSP)

This year, we are offering 25 teams the opportunity to enter Trailtrekker without a support crew.

All you’ll have to do is get your team to the start line and we’ll do the rest…

How does it work?

Your team arrive at the start, register, and hand over a bag containing all the equipment you’ll need for the challenge ahead. This should contain the sort of things your support crew would normally carry; clean clothes, favourite snacks and drinks, socks, a change of footwear, wet weather gear etc. This bag is then transported ahead of you between the checkpoints (CPs) by event staff and volunteers who will be there to welcome your team into each CP and help you out as needed.

What’s more, your bag will be waiting in a designated heated and lit tent just for the teams using the FSP -perfect for the later stages during the night. We’ll also provide food for you out on the course. A packed lunch at CP1, soup and sandwiches at CP2, the main event meal at CP3 and a bacon and egg roll at CP4 during the small hours.

If any of your team have to retire from the event there will be a vehicle ready to whisk them to the finish line to await your arrival.

Who’s if for?

The FSP is only available for teams attempting the Gold (100km) challenge.

It’s ideal for companies who are entering multiple teams or for those who don’t want the hassle of co-ordinating a support crew. With this option you pay your fee and can put more effort towards the training and fundraising challenges without having to co-ordinate the logistics.

How much does it cost?

Price : £200 per team (£50 per team member)

The cost of the FSP is easily covered if you consider the costs your team will incur by providing your own support crew. Support crew accommodation, food, petrol and car hire soon add up, not to mention the sizeable ask that recruiting a support crew can sometimes be.

What do I get for my money?

  • 1 bag transferred between checkpoints.
  • Food at CP1, CP2, CP3 & CP4.
  • Access to an exclusive lit & heated FSP tent at each CP.
  • Transport back to the finish for retirees.
  • Event staff co-ordinating your logistics at each CP.
  • Designated Oxfam volunteers to help you at CPs.

    We recommend you enter with your own support crew in order to guarantee your place at Trailtrekker this year.
