International Women's Day on 8 March is the perfect excuse to get your friends together, have fun and raise money for a great cause.

Do whatever you love doing – a dinner party, coffee morning, cocktails. Just ask your guests to make a donation for taking part - and to help support women worldwide. Be one of the thousands registering to host an event.

Get creative. From dinner with your girlfriends or coffee and cake with your colleagues, to a ceilidh at your local community centre - anything goes! Just have fun and know that you're raising money to help make a difference to women around the world.

If you are an Oxfam shop manager and you would like to hold an event in your shop but would rather not sign up as an individual using the options above; then please look at the shop events section on the intranet for more information. Please then contact your regional fundraising manager or the International Women's Day team on the number below.

1. Register

Please register on our site if you're planning to hold an event. We'll send you a free host's pack full of goodies to help you hold a successful do. When you register you'll also get access to special offers from our partners and even more resources.

2. Get together!

On the day of your event, it doesn't matter whether you raise a little or a lot - just get together with your friends, have fun and ask for a donation to help transform women's lives. (Your fundraising pack will have ideas on how you can boost the fundraising on the day of your event - such as holding a sweepstake - and donation envelopes.)

3. Pay in your fundraising

Use our online payment form to pay in your fundraising, or send it in with the paying-in slip included in your fundraising pack.
