Women in Film Festival

Carol Cooke is hosting The Women in Film Festival, bringing together many short films to highlight the quest for equality all over the world. This unique Get Together takes place on Thursday 8th March 2012 at Creative Cardonald, Cardonald College, Mosspark Drive, Glasgow, between 7-9pm. Oxfam Bookshop Tea Party

The Oxfam Bookshop in Merchant City Glasgow is hosting a Tea Party on March 8th 2012. Speakers from the Open University and Oxfam Scotland will be there to talk about girl’s education in Malawi, women in poetry and Oxfam’s work with women in the UK. There will also be a selection of homemade cakes. Tickets are just £4 (which includes a drink) and can be purchased from the shop beforehand or by calling 0141 2489176.

Pamper Party Get Together in Falkirk

Melissa Russell from Falkirk is hosting a pamper night on the 8th March 2012. The entry fee is only £4 (or £2 if you bring something to sell on the night). You will be spoiled with mini-facials and manicures, cupcakes, a buffet and music by an all-female band. Just pop along between 7-11pm to the Antonine Hotel, 1 Manor Street, Falkirk. All are welcome.

Mosaic and handmade craft Get Together in Crieff

Katy Galbraith, a local mosaic artist and An Cnoc, an arts and crafts shop in Crieff, are hosting a Get Together on 8th March 2012. There will be a wide selection of handmade mosaic artworks, jewellery and beads and Nuno scarfs, with a minimum of 10% of all sales going to the Get Together Campaign.
