Oxfam supporters have been busy!

14 August 2007

This week Oxfam supporters have been busy taking action.

Shakila from Hayes, Middlesex is chasing Gordon Brown to Go further on fighting poverty. In just one week, nearly 1,000 people have sent an email, photo or video "chasing after" Gordon Brown to: Go further on fighting poverty. Have a look at some of the photos and video messages people have left on our Flickr and Facebook pages.

Recently, Gordon Brown gave a speech at the United Nations, where he outlined what he thinks needs to be done to reduce global poverty and suffering.

We think this is a step in the right direction. It is really important that now we continue to pressure the Prime Minister to turn his words into action, so make sure you send in your message and get your friends to do the same.
