Waste not....

3 March 2009

When I'm in the supermarket I never really think, as I put the latest 3 for 2 offers into my basket, that my spur of the moment decisions have big implications for the planet. Rubbish, some people shout. And that's exactly the point, there's just too much waste.

As I stuff my weekly shopping into my newest 'bag for life' I never consider that this mindless routine is contributing directly to climate change.

But how do I break the cycle and change my habits? Everyone's favourite Green Granny, judging by the views and comments on Youtube, has a few of the answers. She can save you a few quid and allow you to feel good as you do your bit to save the planet.

You can get all of this from a three-minute video - what more could you want?

Let me know what you're doing to change your shopping habits by adding a comment.
