Gling is the thing
3 November 2008
Just seen this ace little snippet about ethical jewellery over on the rather neat BBC eco-fashion site Thread. It's all about the growth of 'gling (that's green bling) and how we can make sure the shiny stuff hanging round our necks isn't harming the planet. That means making sure our diamond rocks haven't been used to fund wars in Africa, or that the gold danglin' from our 'lobes has been mined from ethical organisations that don't harm the environment. And if metal ain't your thing, check out all the jewellery made from recycled plastic, glass or shells.
