It's that time of year where we're all partial to wintery bobble hats and snuggly mittens. Wrapping up warm in our winter woollies, what better way to spend an afternoon, or get from A to B, than filling up your flask with toasty (Fairtrade) tea and heading off by foot for some rosy-cheeked banter with your buddies? Carfreewalks.org is a useful website providing a list of great free walks and national parks. Collect acorns, sing to some trees, and get giddy on good old fashioned, cheap, outdoorsy rambling.
