There will be a debate in the House of Commons tomorrow morning called “Preparation for the Climate Change Conference at Copenhagen”.
Give your MP a ring in their Westminster office today (just call the switchboard on 020 7219 3000 and give their name) or drop them an email to give them the heads up that the debate is taking place. There’s lots going on at the same time so not everyone will be able to go but it’s definitely worth highlighting it to your MP.
See if your MP can ask a question like “How does the Government propose to raise the finance necessary to secure a global climate change deal?” or “What action will the UK Government take to ensure that the EU and other rich countries commit to the finance needed to support a fair and adequate deal?”.
If your MP is interested, which would be absolutely fantastic, and would like more information from Oxfam, they can contact me on msegas@oxfam.org.uk.
You can also check out the debate live tomorrow morning from 10.30 am on the BBC’s new Democracy Live website.
