Christmas has come early for the Victoria Road Shop in Glasgow!

Christmas has come early for Victoria Road Shop in Glasgow with the discovery of a first edition of 'Ariel' by Sylvia Plath, which has sold for £350. Shop Manager, Eddy Steele made the discovery whilst going through a pile of books that had been donated.

"It's always exciting to find a first edition because you know you are holding something which is going to help Oxfam," he said. "In the Third World £350 is a huge amount of money and can do an awful lot of good.

" Sylvia Plath books like this don't turn up that often."
