We've recently launched our new blog on UK poverty issues. We're hoping it will become the online space for debate and discussion on poverty in the UK.

So far, we've had posts on benefit levels, attitudes to poverty, and Sally - a single mother of four - talking about her struggle to find a job.

Over the next few months the range and number of authors will significantly increase. If you'd like to be one of them, please get in touch.

Climate change is going to make life even harder for poor people in the UK, but we can tackle climate change and poverty together. This is the message from a new report - tackling climate change, reducing poverty - released a few days ago, by a new coalition of organisations led by Oxfam and nef (the new economics foundation).

It makes the argument that we cannot choose between tackling poverty and tackling climate change - the two are closely interlinked.
