Director, Season in the Congo

Joe Wright is the BAFTA Award winning director of Anna Karenina, Atonement, Hanna and Pride & Prejudice. 

In 2013 he visited the Democratic Republic of Congo with Oxfam, along with actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and the Young Vic's artistic director, David Lan.  The trip contributed to their research for the Young Vic's production of Aimé Ceaire's A Season in the Congo. which helped raise awareness of the ongoing conflict in DRC.
