I got up at 4.30am on Sunday and, along with colleagues from Oxfam's Events Team, headed straight to the British Academy. It was London Marathon day and we needed to get our post-race reception ready for our fantastic team of runners. The early start was completely worth it. The reaction of the runners as they arrived at the reception was unforgettable.

As the Syria Crisis continues to grow, the different things people are doing to support families caught up in the crisis are helping to inspire hope. Syrian-born artist, Issam Kourbaj, has been exhibiting his new art project, Excavating the Present, in a former furnishing emporium in Cambridge since 22 March. Proceeds from the exhibition are being donated to different charities, including Oxfam, and continues
until 14 April.
