Background information for teachers
The choice of activities for this afternoon will be determined by progress and choice of activities made earlier in the week. There may be various pieces of creative work which need finishing off. Alternatively, if your class or school are going to be involved in White Band Day 3, you could plan and prepare for this.

Activity: White Band Day 3 planning

Plan what the school could do for White Band Day 3 (external link) (10 December). Pupils could plan to wrap the school in white ribbon, make as much of the school as white as possible or have a dress-in-white day.

Pupils could also plan to run a fair trade stall at the same time, and perhaps consider the possibility of continuing to run a fair trade stall throughout the year. The Fair Trade School Handbook will give you details of how to become a Fair Trade school. Further ideas of ways to take action can be found on Cool Planet for children. Watch out for new ideas on teaching about fair trade appearing on Oxfam's Cool Planet in November.

Finish off and present any unfinished work from earlier in the week, or make more posters and/or leaflets.
