The family's living conditions

There are two boys and a wife and a husband in this particular family. However there is only one bed so at the end of her very hard day she gets to sink into the nice soft and comfortable concrete floor that she and her husband sleep on every night. They allow their boys to sleep together in the only bed. It would not be that bad if the concrete were flat. I mean it wouldn’t be your dream bed or anything but it would be sleepable on. However this was not the case in this house. The concrete was flaky and slightly pointy so if you lie down wrongly you would have a sharp spike in your back.

'I realised just how lucky we are to have clean water'

These are living conditions of a family where both parents work very hard to earn money. There are loads and loads of other families who live in conditions a million times worse than this. It is impossible to imagine what it is like in the conditions of poorer families. I realised just how lucky we are to have clean water that won’t harm us when we drink it, a roof that keeps out the water, walls that keep us safe and dry, access to hospitals and medicines to make us better, schools to help us learn and many many more things that these other people are only dreaming about.
