Hot fruit salad
A recipe set in by Cool Planet visitors Bia and Stephanie
Serves 4
Ingredients
4 small Fair Trade bananas (available from some supermarkets)
2 apples
100g grapes
100g dried fruit (to make this a Fair Trade recipe, use Fair Trade
dried Apricots, pineapples and mangoes, available from Oxfam shops)
25g (1oz) Fair Trade golden caster sugar Any other fruit you like, such as pieces of coconut, sultanas or raisins.
Method
Peel the apple and chop it into slices. Then chop the banana into
slices as well. Put the grapes, apple, banana, coconut and sultanas
or raisins into a microwaveable bowl and microwave for two minutes.
Sprinkle the cinnamon and add the cream if desired.
Stephanie says, "I made this recipe with my sister, Bia,
when I was really hungry. This recipe is great when you've bits
of fruit to use up. You can add almost any fruit (e.g. strawberries,
pineapple, oranges, papaya, melon)."
