The Kititimo Centre lies on the outskirts of Singida. It is home
to 33 street boys and girls, aged between 10 and 17. Founded by
Oxfam in 1994, it provides the children with a safe place to sleep
at night, regular meals, and lessons. As well as learning how to
read and write, the children develop their confidence through sharing
in the daily duties of cleaning, cooking, and growing food.

Kititimo offers children are simple things that I took for
granted as a child."

For most of the kids, Kititimo is their one chance to get an education.
Its also the first time they are able to relax, play with
their friends, and forget about life on the streets.
Having seen what life was like for children on the street, Ralf
was impressed by what he found at Kititimo. "The opportunities
that Kititimo offers children are simple things that I took for
granted as a child, but I saw for myself what an amazing difference
it has made to the lives of the kids who go there."
