Ralf Little of TV's Royale Family travelled with Oxfam
to Tanzania to ask homeless children in Singida what life
on the streets is like for them.
Young people often find themselves living on the streets, for all
sorts of reasons. Family breakdowns, domestic violence, and abuse
are all common factors.
In Tanzania, as in many other poor countries, children often leave
to escape the extreme poverty at home. These children end each day
hungry, sleep rough and wake up knowing that the nightmare is about
to start all over again.
Ralf visited the Kititimo Centre that
provides street kids with an education, the only chance they might
get. It is also somewhere where they can get meals and sleep safely
at night. Find out more about Ralf's visit
to Kititimo.
Read the street kids stories and
find out how Oxfam is helping them.
