A long-time supporter of Oxfam, Tony Robinson most recently visited the Philippines for the Control Arms campaign.

"On my trip to the Phillipines I saw the real impact of fear that guns have on communities. I support Oxfam and Amnesty in putting their strengths together to campaign for controls to the deadly arms trade."

In the summer of ‘98, Tony also travelled to Brazil to visit a community who have fought long and hard for their right to a livelihood -- to collect nuts from the common land, and to make soap from the nut-oil.

For the last ten years, Oxfam has been funding a local organisation called ASSEMA to help the nut-collectors and soap-makers to develop new Fair Trade products and to find new markets.
