So far, Oxfam has built 38 houses where Rika’s village used to be. They aren’t luxurious, but to Rika’s Dad, his new home feels like a palace.

“I was living in a tent for seven or eight months. I’m very happy about moving into the house. When a strong wind came the conditions in the tent were very bad. Now I don’t have to worry about rain coming in, or that the wind is going to blow the tent away. I can sleep a lot better.”
