Life as a refugee

Volunteers help in the construction of a large water bladder
One of the Oxfam bladder tanks that trucks fill with water every day

Collecting water to carry back to their camps

In the camp of Am Nabak, water is brought from a well 40 kilometres away. Every day, trucks come to fill the big bladders installed by Oxfam in the camp. But as the dry season reaches its end, it gets more and more difficult to find enough water to give to the refugees. In May only nine litres a person per day could be delivered. In Europe people often use 200 litres a day each!
