Oxfam in Ghana

Oxfam has been working in Ghana since the 1960s, supporting development
projects throughout the country. During the 1990s, Oxfams
work has become focused on the poorest regions in northern Ghana.
Oxfam's work in Ghana includes:

helping communities in northern Ghana to improve
health-care and to dig wells for clean water
-
supporting rural womens groups including TUWODEP
(Tuna Women's Development)
-
setting up and continuing to support the
Northern Ghana Network for Development, which is
made up of 45 non-government organisations and community groups
working to reduce poverty
