The Vietnamese often say their country looks like a bamboo pole with a rice basket on each end. The "rice baskets" -- two areas of fertile river delta -- are among the most densely populated parts of the world. On the "bamboo pole", a narrow strip of land connecting North and South Viet Nam, sea-dykes protect villages from flooding and typhoons. Find out more about this beautiful country here...
