Holiday cottagesThe Loughers have converted some of their old stone outbuildings into holiday cottages. When John was a boy, these buildings were used to store potatoes, to house pigs or to keep the tractor. Nowadays, many farmers convert their stone buildings into cottages, and then sell or let them. The income John and Liz get from the holiday cottages helps them to stay on the farm. |
