WAMDE - Village
Artistique des Enfants du Theatre - is a centre where children from poor backgrounds learn
music, dance, and theatre. They have toured to France, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland,
holding workshops for local children.
"What we want to show to European children is another face of African children, not
the face of war or drought or famine. We have a saying, in Burkina Faso, that if you are
open to your neighbour, you can bear differences more easily."
