Es hora ya
by José Bergamín, 1895-1983, Spain

Es hora ya (si ésta que digo es hora)
de prescindir del transito del tiempo:
de separar la hora de la hora;
del momento, el momento.

Y traspasar, sin despertar siquiera
de su soñar, el límite postrero
de un pensamiento que me está pensando,
y no es mi pensamiento.

It's time now
by José Bergamín, 1895-1983, Spain

It's time now (if I talk in terms
of  hours) to forget the flow of time:
to separate the hour from hours;
from moments, the moment.

Time to cross, without waking
from its dream, the outer boundary
of a mind that imagines me,
a mind other than my own.
