Timbuktu is a place many people have heard
of, but few know anything about. It is famous for being mysterious! There is not even any
agreement about how to spell it, and it appears in many different forms – Timbucktu,
Tombouctou and Timbuctoo are just some. Think about where you live, about what sort of
pictures and poems it might inspire. What does your home look like on a map? Is it very
