a deep valley. Spain has long, hot, dry summers and because there
is hardly any rain, water is scarce. Yet summer is when most water
is needed for farming and for needs of the country's thousands
of tourists, so the dam helps to hold water for the dry season.

of Gibraltar. Spain says that Gibraltar should be a part of Spain,
but the UK and most Gibraltarians say it should be a British colony.
