Before (on the 2d stamp), there was a beautiful river, called the River Volta.

Afterwards (on the 6Np stamp), a big dam was built on the river, called the Akosombo dam, and a lake was created behind the river, Lake Volta. The dam allowed electric power to be made, but it drowned a lot of land (about 7% of the whole country) and lots of people had to move.
