Getting hold of all the information you need to give a presentation can be a difficult job.
This sheet is designed to get you started.

For the Fundraising group, your job will be to convince people to take part in fundraising for Ghana. You'll need to find out what the people are like, what Oxfam does in Ghana and why Oxfam needs to work in Ghana. The most important resource for you will be Oxfam's Country Profile of Ghana and the Oxfam Give it up for Ghana Web pages, but you will find lots of interesting and useful information in other places. Look at the resources page to get started.

Introduction
Read through the information you have and find three good reasons why raising money for Oxfam's work in Ghana would be a good idea. This might be descriptions of people who need help, or ways in which the rest of the world treats Ghana unfairly, or anything that you think might make people want to take part in fundraising for Ghana.

2.

3.

When you have come up with three reasons, write a short paragraph explaining why people would want to raise money for Ghana.

The right story and the perfect picture
Read through the information you have and find an interesting story which will make people want to give money to help Ghana. It could be about a particular person, or group of people, or something Oxfam does in Ghana. Write it out in your own words.

When you have written the story, you need a picture to go with it. Think of what the perfect picture to encourage people to raise money for Ghana would look like, and then either draw it, or find a picture on this Web site which seems perfect.

Summing up
Finally, think about all the different reasons why someone would want to do fundrainsing for  Ghana. Think about what would make you want to help people in Ghana. Come up with a single sentence which says why people should want help.

When you have filled in this sheet, you should have the information you need for your presentation
