Geography, People and Place
Traditionally, Geography has had strong links with issues of Global
Citizenship, because of its potential to help children interpret
their environment and understand the world around them.
Many of these pages have been adapted from Oxfam's print publication,
Global Citizenship; The Handbook for Primary Teaching, which you
can order
online. The Handbook was awarded Highly Commended by the Geographical
Association. 'If Geography is to flourish in the primary sector
it will be through introducing ideas and approaches provided in
this publication... Every school should use it.'
