The Challenge of Globalisation
A handbook for teachers of 11–16
year olds
| An exciting new online resource containing
additional activities to those included in the book will be
available here in Spring 2005. |
Globalisation affects the clothes we wear, the music
we listen to, the food we eat, the jobs we do and the environment
we live in. It permeates our culture and our identity. It is a phenomenon
that is often talked about but not always understood.
The
Challenge of Globalisation offers an exciting approach to
exploring this issue and the way it affects people around the world.
It looks closely at some of the moral and ethical issues which globalisation
raises, and which young people should consider as global citizens.
It considers both the positive and negative aspects of globalisation
and examines its effects on people around the world. Can globalisation
be managed to benefit everyone?
