  • Aylesbury Development Education Centre (ADEC)

  • Cyfanfyd - the Development Education Association for Wales.

  • Citizenship Pieces - examples of good Citizenship in Tower Hamlets’ schools.

  • Development Education Association (DEA) - the DEA is a national umbrella body aiming to support and promote the work of all those engaged in raising awareness and understanding of global and development issues in the UK.

  • Development Education Centres in the UK - A-Z list of all DECs in the UK.

  • Development Education in Dorset (DEED) - works on a variety of projects in partnership with others - education authorities or community groups in Dorset and development organisations in the UK and overseas - to promote global understanding in schools and the community.
  • Development Education Centre (South Yorkshire) – DEC(SY) - details the services offered by DEC(SY), and their projects.
  • Development Education Exchange in Europe (DEEEP) - aims to strengthen the capacity of non-governmental development organisations to deliver grass roots development education.

  • GLADE – The Centre for Global and Development Education - the Development Education Centre for Yeovil, Somerset

  • Global Education Derby - aims to help schools in Derby and Derbyshrie to integrate global perspectives and education for sustainable development into their policy and practice.

  • Global Footprints - provides primary schools with ideas and activities to take steps towards sustainable future

  • Leeds DEC - works in partnership with international development agencies and local structures and organisations to raise greater awareness of international development issues amongst young people and adults in the UK.

  • Manchester Development Education Project - includes classroom activities.

  • Norfolk Education and Action for Development (NEAD) - aims to show the environmental, economic, cultural and historic links that exist between people throughout the world, raise awareness and understanding of the causes of inequality and show how people can take action to create a more just and sustainable world. Their resource centre loans and sells teaching resources. They list contact details for a wide network of artists, performers and workshop facilitators who do schools’ work. They can organise participative sessions in schools to highlight and explore development issues.

  • Reading International Solidarity Centre (RISC) - aims to raise the profile of international issues and promote action for sustainable development, equality and social justice throughout the world. The site includes information on educational resources available to buy or hire, and a list of their events.

  • Schools Councils UK - training and support for school and class councils.

  • Teachers in Development Education (TIDE) - a teachers network, based in Birmingham, supporting creative work aimed to enhancing young people’s understanding of global dimensions, development perspectives and human rights principles. The site includes curriculum projects and a resource centre.

  • World Education Development Group (WEDG) - East Kent‘s Global Education Centre providing resources and information to schools and colleges about Global Citizenship.
