Find your way through trade
Activities for primary school
| Globalisation, trade, the free
markets and subsidies are regularly in the news today. But
what is trade? What does trade have to do with us? Would we
have food in our supermarkets without trade? How free is the
free market? Why do the poor get poorer and the rich get richer?
|
> Section One: Understanding
the supply chain
> Section Two: Trading
Using these creative and interactive educational resources,
your pupils will find answers to all of these questions. They will
not only learn about what trade is, but also get a feeling for the
relationship between the (richer) Northern and the (poorer) Southern
countries.
These easy-to-follow lesson plans are designed to
convey simple trading concepts in a fun way. You can either use
them as a project through a series of sequential lessons or as individual
lessons if you have limited time. Feel free to use them as you please
and have fun!
These lesson plans link in with the curriculum and
provide many opportunities to work in Citizenship, PSHE/PSE, Geography,
English, Literacy, Maths and ICT.
