Three Workshop Plan

Our three- workshop plan follows a "Learn, Think, Act, Reflect" format.

Learn:  Pupils gain knowledge of an issue.
Think:  Pupils think about how they can make a difference.
Act:  Pupils take an action (done in school's own time without speaker present).
Reflect:  Pupils celebrate and learn from their actions.

Child protection and administration

Oxfam's child protection policy dictates that School Speakers must be supervised by a teacher at all times. Teachers should be responsible for managing pupils' behaviour during assemblies and workshops.

The charge covers the cost of the School Speaker's travel expenses and administration of the scheme. Please contact us if you cannot afford this contribution. If you are in the process of fundraising for Oxfam the fee could be waived.
