Oxjam is Oxfam's month long music festival taking place around the UK every October since 2006.  So far volunteers putting on these music events over the last 6 years have raised an astonishing £1.8 million for Oxfam and are aiming to break the £2 million mark in October 2012.

Oxjam is Oxfam's month long music festival taking place around the UK every October since 2006.  So far volunteers putting on these music events over the last 6 years have raised an astonishing £1.8 million for Oxfam and are aiming to break the £2 million mark in October 2012.

This year, our volunteers have organised music events across Wales from Cardiff to Bangor throughout the month covering every musical flavour imaginable; from folk to punk to acoustic guitar sessions.  To search for an event in your local area please click on the following link - http://www.oxfam.org.uk/oxjam/search/event

As well as attending an Oxjam do in your local area there is still time to get involved in Oxjam in other ways.  For example, choosing to take part in the Oxjam Homecoming, the homecoming is a new idea we're trying out this year, the idea is very simply - asking supporters to organise Oxjam events in their own homes. These events can range from acoustic acts playing in the front room,  to every guest taking it in turns to DJ or house party.  You can even theme it to cover music from decades past or get involved in fancy dress for Halloween!

The fundraising element comes from getting people to donate at the door when they arrive, and then getting donations for food and drinks. For more information on the homecoming initiative please visit our website here: http://www.oxfam.org.uk/Oxjam/WhatIs/TheOxjamHomecoming."
